Useless Bay on Whidbey Island is my happy place. It’s Josh’s happy place too. We spent a lot of time there when we were just a family of three — in fact, the summer that we had our house on the market in Bellingham, we stayed at the beach for nearly a month and Josh commuted down to work in Everett. It was amazing. (a look back HERE and HERE)
Sadly, we haven’t take the kids up there since — Meg and Everett have never been and Janie doesn’t remember the time she spent there. It’s only about an hour away from Seattle, including a short ferry ride and we hope that someday we will have our own place — probably not on Useless Bay, but nearby.
