5 things i love this week -- edition 3

one. The girls needed something to keep them warm on those days that aren’t rainy, but are cold. And, I didn’t want to spend a fortune on them, since both girls are growing like weeds right now. Old Navy sent me a 20% off code (ONSALE20 — valid in stores and online through 10/10) and I thought these Frost-Free Quilted Vests ($29, before you use the discount) were super cute. The girls loved the blue with green polka dots and I grabbed the boy’s version in orange for Everett, which makes him easy to spot at the park.

two. Lauren at A Mommy in the City made these cute Tissue Paper Tassels for her daughter’s birthday and I pinned her easy DIY post immediately. I think I’m going to try these for a baby shower I’m co-hosting next month…

three. Now that it’s a bit colder, the kids are starting to lose that soft, summer skin. I grabbed this SheaMoisture Raw Shea Chamomile and Argan Oil Baby Healing Lotion (about $10, found in the baby section) at Target to use on the kids after their baths. It smells soo yummy. I may dip into it for myself sometimes too. Don’t tell. Do  you have a favorite lotion to use on your little ones?

four. When I was a tween (before the term had been invented, FYI), I used to devour my Seventeen Magazines for the quizzes. In fact, my friend Katie and I used to make up our own quizzes, within the magazine, because we loved them so much. Gosh, I miss being a kid in the early 90s. Those were good times. ANYWAY. SheKnows Parenting took me back with their 2013 Parenting Awards. Clicking through to vote for my favorite brands and products gave me a major Seventeen Magazine flashback moment.

five. So, I’m not going to fully confess to stalking Brian Paquette, but… there was this little collaboration he did with Sunset Magazine at Seabrook and then this feature about his home on coco+kelley. And, I may do some over-liking on his Instagram account. Okay, this is sounding way worse than I thought…

5 things i love this week -- edition 1

From the top, going clockwise.

one. Phillip Lim launched their Target collection last weekend and I thought this dress was a cute addition and a perfect work option. Sadly (and surprisingly!), they didn’t have my size in my new Target, which I’m still getting used to.

two. This article from Kelly MacLean on Huffington, Surviving Whole Foods, was the hit article of the week and blew up my Facebook feed. I broke up with Whole Foods as soon as I realized that they didn’t carry roast beef. I don’t need that level of exclusiveness in my life.

three. I came across this Etsy shop, Teak and Teal, via a friend and have been stalking it ever since. She has a great eye for truly authentic mid-century finds. Also, my Etsy account seems to think I live in Great Britain. Hmm. Don’t mind that.

four. Paper Court Press was having a sale on their iPhone covers this week and I broke down and bought one. I’ve had mine for nearly two years now and it’s worn down. Plus, if I see one more chevron stripe, I’m going to have a seizure. I picked this pretty Watercolor Ombre Phone Cover in coral.

five. My friend Karla started a blog called Love It Need It and I most certainly love it. Find her on Facebook too.

being 23 things i bought at target yesterday. edition four.

Talking about Target is SO POPULAR now. I mean, hello? Have you seen Target Does It Again? You absolutely MUST follow them on Instagram. File that under things I wish I’d thought of, just under that stupid Where’d You Go Bernadette that I devoured. Don’t mind my bitterness. I adore them all.

Now, back to business…

23 Things I Bought at Target Yesterday!
(Including the bonus round: One thing that I bought, but that didn’t even come home with me.)

1. Diapers.

2. More diapers. A different kind.

3. Meyer’s Dish Soap in lemon verbena. My favorite scent.

4. Method Dish Soap in tomato vine for Neighbor Sara. Which happens to smell just like weed. Not that I’d know. #igrewupinbellinghamduh

5. Dryer sheets.

6. This book for Janie.

7. Gum.

8. Gum for Janie.

9. Strawberry jelly. In a squeeze tube.

10. Two boxes of macaroni and cheese. Monster’s University edition.

11. Those apple sauce in a pouch things.

12. Bread.

13. Milk. (I think the Target brand tastes odd. Just me?)

14. Hand sanitizer. Getting a jump start on school supplies this year to hopefully avoid this situation again.

15. Deodorant.

16. More deodorant.

17. Burts Bees shave cream for Josh. Just noticing it rang up for nearly twice as much as the sign said.

18. Set of two teeny tiny composition books for the girls. Seriously. They’re only about three-inches big.

19. Pink erasers. 2nd Grade school supplies.

20. Apparently, more pink erasers, which we didn’t actually buy.

21. This sassy binder in pink and gold to organize my meal plan stuff.

22. A Hot Wheels car for Ev. Obviously.

23. The bag they charged me for to carry all of my goodies home.

Okay, tell me what you’re most recent Target list looked like — were there erasers involved?

More Target lists on Edition 1, Edition 2 and Edition 3.
